X, formerly known as Twitter, once again experienced a disruption in Pakistan on Thursday.
According to the outage tracking website Downdetector.com, the global outages were reported for both the social media platform X and its premium version, X Pro.
Users reported encountering issues such as a blank timeline or receiving an error message stating "cannot retrieve tweets" when attempting to view or post tweets.
Earlier, on Dec 17, social media platforms across Pakistan experienced a widespread disruption, impacting popular services such as X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, according to the internet monitoring service Netblocks.
Reports started pouring in from users in major cities such as Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad, indicating difficulties in accessing social media platforms shortly after 8 pm. Users also complained of sluggish internet services during the disruption.
