The 25th martyrdom anniversary of Havaldar Lalak Jan, recipient of Nishan-e-Haider, was observed across Pakistan on Sunday. Mosques throughout the country held Quran recitations and special prayers to mark the occasion.
Religious scholars arranged special prayers for the elevation of the martyr's status. They emphasized the importance of remembering national heroes and their sacrifices.
Clerics stated that the blood of martyrs is a debt upon the nation. They added that honoring martyrs is an obligation for all citizens, and that the sacrifices of the fallen are never in vain.
The scholars also highlighted that martyrs remain alive, receiving sustenance from their Lord. They noted that such sacrifices teach the value of protecting and loving one's homeland.
Havaldar Lalak Jan was described as a brave son of the soil who will remain alive in the hearts of the people.
