The father of Captain Ahmed Badr, who was martyred in a terrorist attack, has inspired the nation with his unwavering spirit.
Captain Ahmed Badr, aged 23, made the ultimate sacrifice when terrorists targeted a checkpoint in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, ramming a vehicle laden with explosives. His selfless service was honored as he was laid to rest with full military honors in his hometown of Talagang.
Captain Ahmed Badr's father demonstrated remarkable composure and bravery. In the face of unimaginable sorrow, he expressed gratitude for his son's honorable sacrifice, stating, "I am proud of my son. He embraced martyrdom with dignity, and I find solace in knowing that he fulfilled his duty to the last."
Acknowledging the outpouring of support and respect from the community and the Pakistan Army, he humbly remarked, "I am overwhelmed by the kindness shown to me and my family. The honor bestowed upon us is a testament to the sacrifices made by our brave soldiers."
Reflecting on his own lineage, he remarked, "I am the son of Qazi Qutbuddin, who was bestowed with great renown by Allah. Today, my son has added to our family's legacy of service and sacrifice."
