Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Aslam Afridi joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Friday.
Addressing the press conference flanked by Dr. Asim Hussain, Afridi said, ‘’ I did not have any issue with the ticket with the MQM-P. However, the MQM-P is missing genuine leadership’’.
Meanwhile, Dr Asim Hussain said, ‘’Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will soon tell what to develop in Karachi.’’
The PPP leaders expressed optimism that the party would win the elections in Karachi.

Earlier in December, MQM-P leaders Raza Haroon and Anees Advocate joined the PPP on Friday.
The development came after both the leaders called on Asif Ali Zardari. On this occasion, the former president said, “Karachi belongs to the PPP. We are trying to restore the city’s glory. Those who wanted unrest and spread hate had harmed the city.”
“We want to see a surge in investment opportunities in Karachi from worldwide. We hope that Karachi will become the economic hub the way Dubai has developed.”
Zardari said, “The masses will get relief during the time of worst inflation. We will launch welfare projects in Karachi and other parts of the country.”
