Sepoy Raheel Ahmed of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom during a counter-terrorism operation in Awaran district on April 29, 2024, adding another chapter to the nation's history of sacrifice in defense of the homeland.
The young soldier from Multan demonstrated exceptional valor in his final operation, engaging terrorists with unwavering determination until his last breath. He leaves behind a mother and siblings who speak of his lifelong aspiration to serve in the armed forces.
"From childhood, he was intelligent and brave," his mother shared, her voice carrying both grief and pride. "His ultimate wish was to sacrifice his life for the country." She revealed that in her dreams, her son reassures her of his honorable martyrdom in Allah's path, adding that she stands ready to sacrifice her other three sons for the nation if called upon.
Raheel's sister recounted their last conversation before the operation: "He called to say he was going to fight terrorists and asked for prayers for success." His brother remembered him as someone who had always prayed for martyrdom, a wish that was ultimately fulfilled.
Before joining the Army, Raheel completed his education, fulfilling a childhood dream of serving in the military. His family members consistently describe him as a devoted son and brother who maintained strong family bonds while serving his nation.
