The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has taken strict measures for the upcoming Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) retake examination, scheduled for later this month.
To prevent cheating, the caretaker provincial government has decided to temporarily suspend mobile tower services in the vicinity of exam centers during the test hours.
Additionally, the KP Police, in collaboration with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), is working diligently to ensure the integrity of the exam, aiming to avoid a recurrence of the cheating that occurred during the previous test earlier this year.
The Peshawar Police has been entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the printing and distribution of test materials.
Moreover, enhanced security measures will be implemented, including the installation of walk-through gates and CCTV cameras at exam centers throughout the province.
Female police officers will also be deployed to enhance security.
To facilitate test takers, exam centers have been set up in 11 districts across the province, including Peshawar, DI Khan, Kohat, Mardan, Lower Dir, Swat, and Abbottabad.
The Khyber Medical University will provide information about the examination duty staff, excluding administrative officials from various departments, to ensure impartiality.
It is worth noting that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa decided to conduct a retake of the MDCAT exam due to the discovery of numerous instances of cheating involving Bluetooth devices. The retest is scheduled for November 26.
