The results of the annual Lahore bar association elections have been announced, with the Hamid Khan Group emerging victorious in key positions.
According to the results released by the Election Board, Mubashir Rehman, the candidate backed by the group for president, was declared successful by securing 2,400 votes, while Mian Faiz Ali of the Asma Jahangir Group secured 1,807 votes, placing third.
Independent candidate Adeeb Aslam Bhinder came in second with 2,088 votes.
The election results, released by the Election Board, highlighted the following winners:
- Senior Vice President: Mian Sharjeel with 4,400 votes.
- Vice President: Malik Saif Khokhar with 3,023 votes.
- General Secretary: Malik Sharjeel Khokhar with 3,458 votes.
- Joint Secretary: Shujaat Ali Khan with 3,147 votes.
- Library Secretary: Samina Khokhar with 2,884 votes.
- Executive Member: Naseer Bhalla with 3,736 votes.
The annual elections saw active participation, with key contests closely watched. The Hamid Khan Group’s success reinforces its influence in the legal fraternity, while independent candidates and the Asma Jahangir Group also made notable efforts in the competitive race.
