A comprehensive plan was devised to administer polio drops during Eid to prevent the spread of the virus.
As per the plan, children travelling during the festive period would receive the polio vaccine. According to the Punjab Polio Programme, children entering the province would also be vaccinated under this initiative.
The plan included deploying polio teams at specific locations in 13 districts of Punjab. The vaccination teams would be stationed at bus terminals, railway stations, hospitals, and shopping centres.
Polio teams were scheduled to be stationed in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Attock, Mianwali, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Okara, Sahiwal, Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Sargodha.
"These teams were set to begin their assignments on March 22 and were assigned for a period of 20 days."
