Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist, Aamir Khan, made headlines after introducing his girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, to the media on his 60th birthday.
The actor requested privacy for his ladylove, but he didn’t shy away from sharing how their love story unfolded.
Love story 25 years in the making
Aamir revealed that he and Gauri first met 25 years ago but lost touch over time. However, destiny had other plans, and they reconnected years later. Speaking about how he fell for her, the actor said, “I was looking for someone I can be calm with, who gives me peace. And there she was.”
The couple has been together for 18 months, and their bond has only grown stronger.

Gauri, who is a mother to a six-year-old, admitted that she was drawn to Aamir’s kindness and caring nature. She shared, "I wanted someone who was kind, a gentleman, and just caring."
To which Aamir playfully responded, “And after all that, you found me?”
Gauri Spratt sees Aamir as a partner
Unlike most Bollywood fans, Gauri is not into mainstream Hindi cinema and has barely seen Aamir’s films. The actor shared, "She grew up in Bangalore, and her exposure was to different kinds of films and arts. She doesn’t watch Hindi films. She has probably not seen much of my work, too. She doesn’t see me as a superstar but as a partner."
