The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has announced a reduction in power tariffs for both distribution companies (Discos) and K-Electric customers in a relief for electricity consumers for a month.
The reduction comes as part of the monthly fuel price adjustment mechanism.
For consumers of distribution companies (Discos), electricity prices have been reduced by 75 paisas per unit under the November fuel charge adjustment. The benefit of this price cut will be reflected in their January bills.
Similarly, K-Electric consumers will see 49 paisas per unit reduction in electricity prices as part of the October monthly fuel price adjustment.
NEPRA has officially issued notifications for both reductions, ensuring the implementation of the adjusted tariffs.
