The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has increased the quarterly installment amount of the Benazir Kafalat Program from Rs10,500 to Rs13,500, effective January 2025.
Senator Rubina Khalid, the chairperson of BISP, announced the news, emphasising the government’s commitment to uplifting underprivileged segments of society. "This increase marks a new chapter in our efforts to support deserving women and their families," she said in a statement.
Senator Rubina Khalid also declared 2025 as the "Year of the Benazir Hunarmand Program," which aims to empower deserving individuals by equipping them with skills to achieve self-reliance. "This year too, we will continue to serve the underprivileged sections with honesty."
Through this initiative, beneficiaries will receive vocational training and resources to enhance their livelihoods. “The Benazir Hunarmand Program is a step forward in helping people stand on their own feet,” Khalid remarked.
The chairperson reaffirmed BISP's dedication to serving underprivileged sections with honesty and integrity. She extended warm wishes to the nation for the new year and reiterated the program's mission to create opportunities for economic self-sufficiency.
