Snowfall has begun in Murree and Galiyat, attracting tourists to the picturesque regions. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has announced that it has completed arrangements to ensure facilities and guidance for visitors.
According to a PDMA spokesperson, rain, and snowfall are expected to continue in Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas until January 6. To provide assistance and guidance, 13 facilitation centres have been established in Murree.
PDMA Director General Irfan Ali Kathia urged tourists to stay updated on weather conditions before traveling to avoid any unpleasant situations. He highlighted the administration’s readiness, stating that officials are on 24-hour alert to guide and protect visitors.
“The safety of tourists is our top priority. A sense of responsibility regarding weather conditions is essential to protect precious lives,” Kathia emphasised.
The PDMA helpline, 1129, is available for immediate assistance in case of emergencies. Tourists are encouraged to utilize this service and follow official instructions to ensure a safe and memorable trip.
