Pakistani law enforcement agencies have seized more than 1,065 metric tons of narcotics and arrested 2,413 drug traffickers in ongoing nationwide operations since September 2023, according to official figures.
In the past week alone, authorities conducted multiple raids resulting in the seizure of 3,246.285 kilograms of various narcotics and the arrest of 30 suspected drug traffickers across the country.
The recent operations yielded significant quantities of different substances such as 87.714 kilograms of heroin, 3,006.80 kilograms of hashish, 27.332 kilograms of methamphetamine, 124.150 kilograms of opium, 0.289 kilograms of miscellaneous narcotics.
These operations are part of an ongoing nationwide campaign to combat drug trafficking and distribution networks throughout Pakistan. Law enforcement agencies continue to conduct regular operations across all provinces to achieve the government's objective of a drug-free society.
