A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight, PK-503, heading to Gwadar encountered a technical fault in its engine shortly after departure on Monday, prompting the pilot to return to Karachi.
A PIA spokesperson confirmed that the flight, which took off from Jinnah International Airport at 8:13 a.m., landed safely 43 minutes later. The issue was identified mid-flight, and the pilot immediately informed air traffic control before executing the precautionary landing.
The spokesperson added, "The aircraft is currently undergoing inspection at Karachi Airport. " This assures passengers that safety remains the airline's top priority.
The engineering department is working to address the issue, and the flight will resume its journey to Gwadar as soon as clearance is obtained.
