Rumeysa Gelgi, the tallest woman in the world, and Jyoti Amge, the shortest woman, shared a heartwarming moment over afternoon tea at The Savoy Hotel.
The event, held on Guinness World Records (GWR) Day, was a celebration of their unique achievements and mutual admiration.
Rumeysa, standing at an astonishing 215.16 cm (7 ft 0.7 in), and Jyoti, measuring just 62.8 cm (2 ft 0.7 in), met for the first time, marking a height difference of 152.36 cm (five feet). Despite their contrasting statures, the two women bonded effortlessly, sharing stories, laughter, and their love for fashion, self-care, and delectable tea and pastries.
“This is a moment I will never forget,” said Rumeysa. “Meeting Jyoti has been a long-awaited dream. She’s the most gorgeous lady.”
Jyoti also expressed her joy, calling it a unique experience. “I’m used to looking up and seeing people taller than me, but today, I was happy to look up and see the world’s tallest woman.”
Guinness World Records described the meeting as “a lavish girls’ day out,” celebrating individuality and the beauty of diversity. A video capturing the joyous interaction garnered over 53 million views in just 24 hours, with fans flooding the comments section with admiration.
