Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a further decrease on Friday, reflecting global market trends.
In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola dropped by Rs800, settling at Rs282,300, according to data shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold fell by Rs686, bringing it down to Rs242,027.
The recent decline follows a significant drop on Thursday when the price of gold fell by Rs2,300 to close at Rs283,100 per tola. Earlier in the week, on Wednesday, gold prices hit an all-time high of Rs285,400 per tola, amid rising demand driven by economic and geopolitical uncertainties.
In the international market, the price of gold dipped by $8 on Friday, reaching $2,726 per ounce with an additional premium of $20.
Silver prices, however, remained steady at Rs3,350 per tola in the local market, unaffected by the recent changes in gold prices.
