Pakistani law enforcement agencies have intensified their anti-smuggling operations across the country, recovering substantial quantities of contraband goods as part of the government's economic recovery initiatives.
During the period from October 13 to October 22, authorities confiscated 7,322 cigarette sticks, 71.50 metric tons of flour, 184 textile pieces, 0.05 metric tons of sugar, and 0.16 million liters of Iranian oil in nationwide operations.
The cumulative seizures since September 1, 2023, have been more significant, with authorities intercepting 13,088.75 metric tons of fertilizer, 3,684.69 metric tons of flour, 35,129.1 metric tons of sugar, 4,379,997 cigarette sticks, 154,744 textile pieces, and 17.417 million liters of Iranian oil.
