Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal visited on Sunday the home of martyred Lance Naik Muhammad Tanveer in the outskirts of Narowal’s Laliya village.
According to details, Lance Naik Tanveer, who was posted in Islamabad, fell victim to a terrorist attack by the PTI supporters. Iqbal paid tribute to his sacrifice, saying, “We take pride in our security forces’ brave soldiers who sacrifice their lives to protect the nation.”
Iqbal also condemned the incident, adding, “Gunshots were fired in Islamabad, and the PTI’s armed groups killed a security official. What was his crime? He was protecting his country.”
He questioned whether political parties conduct protests in such a violent manner, referring to the attack as a disgrace.
Addressing the spreading of false narratives on social media, Iqbal stated, “They are tarnishing the country’s image by spreading lies. In fact, they are doing this to cover up their own crimes.”
Iqbal maintained: "On May 9 and November 25, the country had witnessed the true face of these terrorists."
