The World Education Medals have announced the extraordinary leaders who have made remarkable contributions to education across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
Baela Raza Jamil is the only finalist from Pakistan to have been shortlisted for the prestigious World Education Medals. Founded by T4 Education and HP, this award will be given to an outstanding individual who has demonstrated impact, leadership, and advocacy in the field of education.
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat congratulated Baela Raza Jamil, saying: "I would like to thank Baela for her over three decades of dedicated service and her unwavering commitment to providing quality education to all in Pakistan."
Baela Raza Jamil is a champion of education and is dedicated to improving lives in Pakistan.
Through her efforts, she has made a profound impact on the country's education system and continues to inspire and empower countless individuals through her organizations, Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi and the Sanjan Nagar School, an inclusive IB school, dedicated to transformative and empowering education especially for girls.
Baela Jamil has led nationwide social movements for early childhood education, girls' education, and education in emergencies. Her initiatives have reached more than 20 million children and thousands of teachers both within Pakistan and beyond.
She has collaborated closely with governments, international organizations, and local communities to ensure that education is prioritized and accessible to all.
The winner will be announced in October.
