The monsoon afforestation has started for the restoration of the "Takht Padi Jangal" under the supervision of the Punjab government and the Pakistan Army,
The campaign kicked off under the Green Pakistan Initiative of SIFC and Plant for Pakistan.
More than 200,000 saplings were grown. A large number of schools, colleges, universities, and youth participated in this campaign along with the Pakistan Army.
Scholars, students of different schools and special children also participated in the campaign in large numbers, minority communities especially Christians, Sikhs and Hindus participated.
In this campaign, "seedballs" were thrown from Pakistan Army helicopters to the ground to grow more plants. The public appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan Army to restore forests and highlight the importance of plantation among the people.
