Punjab Home department has released a new policy guideline aimed at bolstering the security of the National Oil Pipeline Network and under the new directive, any attacks on the National Oil Pipeline and other national installations are classified as acts of terrorism.
The administration across all districts is directed to ensure robust security for the National Oil Pipeline. A joint mechanism will be established to safeguard all security installations within the province.
Police and other law enforcement agencies have been tasked with the protection of these national assets.
The National Oil Pipeline Network spans approximately 2000 km, underscoring the extensive reach and importance of these security measures. The directive will be incorporated into the Provincial Disaster Response Plan to streamline emergency responses and coordination.
