The Central Working Committee of the Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society strongly condemned the inappropriate and unfounded allegations leveled against the military leadership.
Lieutenant General (Retired) Abdul Qayyum Hilal Imtiaz Military presided over the meeting of the Central Working Committee.
Vice Admiral Abdul Aleem, Commodore Arshad, Brigadier Zakir, Brigadier Tariq, Brigadier Zulfiqar Shahin, Mr. Habib ur Rehman (former ISI), Major Khizar, Commander Ayub, Khalid, and Aziz Awan attended the meeting.
President of the society, Lieutenant General (Retired) Abdul Qayyum, expressed strong dissatisfaction with the improper use of the X handle and Facebook page of a convicted and dismissed former member through his tweets. Necessary steps were discussed to reinstate the Twitter handle of PESS after its suspension.
All members of the Central Working Committee unanimously condemned the inappropriate and unfounded allegations leveled by certain individuals against the military leadership. All members of the Central Working Committee expressed their firm determination to uphold the dignity of the armed forces.
During the meeting, it was decided to work in collaboration with the Service Headquarters for the establishment of a dynamic institution, provision of necessary pensions, assistance to the families of martyrs, and support for disabled and mentally distressed former military personnel.
Lieutenant General Abdul Qayyum pledged to provide maximum assistance to the families of martyrs and disabled former military personnel through PESS's provincial, district, tehsil, and UC committees.
The President renewed the registration of PESS, and emphasized the importance of cooperation between DG ISI, PR & MO Directorate for activating bank accounts and social media accounts. Members stressed the need to implement the PESS charter effectively.
