The yearly meeting of the 78th UN General Assembly is taking place at its headquarters in New York City (NYC) to discuss global issues including the war in Ukraine and climate change.
As per international media reports, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is likely to speak at the international in person for the first time, since the war break.
At the start of the UNGA debate on September 19 (today), UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will present an annual report on the state of global affairs.
As per the rules and regulations of the UNGA, each country among the UN’s 193 member states will get 15 to 20 minutes to address the global community.
Brazil's leader will address the UNGA on Tuesday followed by US President Joe Biden.
