Supreme Court of Pakistan has announced a five-day holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr, from March 29 to April 2, 2025.
The decision was communicated through a notification issued by the Registrar's Office under the directive of the Chief Justice of Pakistan. During this period, the Supreme Court will remain closed in observance of the Eid festivities.
In line with this, the federal government has also declared public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr from March 31 to April 2, 2025. The official notification specifies that the holidays will commence on Monday, March 31, and conclude on Wednesday, April 2.
Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting, and is celebrated by Muslims worldwide. The exact date of Eid is determined by the sighting of the Shawwal moon, which is expected to be visible on March 30, 2025. Consequently, Eid is anticipated to be celebrated on March 31, 2025.
These holidays provide an opportunity for individuals to celebrate Eid with their families, attend special prayers, and engage in festive traditions.
