Dr. Fazeela Abbasi born on 27th Sep 1979 in Multan to an influential family of Abbasi origin. Dr. Abbasi completed her post-graduation studies at Saint John’s Dermatology Institute, London and opened her private practice in Islamabad to practice dermatology and aesthetic medicine.
She has been working as a dermatologist for past 20 years in Islamabad and at a local skin clinic in Dubai.
Background
Fazeela Abbasi was born in Multan into a family of Abbasi origin. She is the daughter of Mazhar Ali Abbasi (late), a retired army officer and his wife Nasim Chaudhry. Her mother is a well known attorney at law and has worked as a banking tribunal judge. She was twice elected member of the national parliament and had the honour of serving the country as a chairman standing committee of federal law and justice.
A quiet and shy girl in her youth, Abbasi grew up with her only brother, Hamza Ali Abbasi, a famous Actor, in relatively affluent (upper middle) class circumstances and received a privileged education. Her brother is a well-known celebrity. Dr Abbasi had an arranged marriage in 2001 and had a son, Sameer Ali, out of this wedlock.
Achievements
She got her education from Army public School, Multan. She was the top student at the school receiving Hajwari and national President scholarships.
She took admission in Government Degree College for Women Multan in 1996 and scored 950 out of 1100 in Intermediate Multan Board, securing 1st position and gold medal in Multan board and broke all the previous records of scholastic achievements at this level of examination. For her unprecedented performance, she was awarded STAR GIRL OF THE YEAR AWARD.
She got admitted in King Edward Medical College Lahore. But within 2 months she migrated to Nishtar Medical College Multan, her hometown where she was born.
She was awarded a distinction in the subject of Biochemistry as the first medical professional. She completed her medical school in 2002 and was awarded with MBBS (bachelor’s in medicine & surgery).
Dr Abbasi worked as an additional house officer in the department of Dermatology & Venereal diseases in Nishtar Medical College & Hospital Multan. She then went on working as a clinical attachment in Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Islamabad. Dr Abbasi won higher education commission scholarship for Masters leading to PhD program and this took her for post-graduation in dermatology at King’s College London.
She worked as a dermatology resident in St john's Institute of Dermatology, St Thomas & Guys Hospital, London. She has advanced training in dermatopathology, cutaneous cosmetic surgery and lasers.
She has written a thesis on Cutaneous Leishmaniasis which is recognized by the University of London. She has also written a thesis on the treatment of cutaneous leishmaniasis comparing intra-lesional antimonials versus CO2 ablative lasers.
She came back home and started her private practice in Islamabad. She did not end her journey in academics and went on studying for the doctorate in medicine. She completed her MD Dermatology in Nov 2013.
She has appeared in a number of local and international news platforms like The Gulf, Harper Bazar, Vogue, Emirates Women, Hum TV, The Neutral, Dazed Digital, Geo TV and many more.

Dr. Abbasi started her private practice with her Clinic in Islamabad. The clinic offers a variety of skincare and aesthetic medical specialties under one roof.
The clinic has gained notoriety in the field of aesthetic medicine since its founding almost ten years ago.
She also works at Euromed in Dubai and has expanded her services globally.

Dr. Abbasi is engaged in research on the application of different laser wavelengths to Asian skin types and is renowned for her ground-breaking work in this area. She has received membership in the Laser and Health Academy and is frequently invited to speak as a guest speaker at major conferences for dermatology throughout the world. She received recognition for her research clinical paper at the 2010 European Academy of Dermatology meeting in Gothenburg on the use of the Erbium YAG laser to treat acne scars in Asian skin types 4 and 5.
She frequently participates as a guest speaker at conferences held by Dubai Derma, Emirates Derma, and FACE.
For the international firm ANTEIS, Dr. Abbasi serves as a representative and brand ambassador in the Middle East and Asia. She was selected to serve as the medical brand ambassador for the Pakistani launch of Ponds anti-aging retinol product.
As a result of her study on the application of lasers to Asian skin types, Dr. Abbasi is the first and only physician to be granted membership in the International Laser Health Academy.
For two years, Dr. Abbasi served as an advisor and consultant in Pakistan's federal Ministry of Health. Throughout her time as a health official, she occasionally represented Pakistan in meetings of the world health assembly.
