Huawei has unveiled its latest foldable smartphone, the Pura X, equipped with the second-generation Lingxi communication technology, branded as 5A Speed.
The new technology, which promises to deliver stronger and more stable signal reception, was expected to thrive even in areas with weak network coverage.
Sources confirmed after further investigation that 5A Speed refers to the 5G-A Speed network, an advanced system capable of achieving download speeds up to 10Gbps. The Lingxi communication system, which enhances mobile network connectivity, was designed to ensure faster and smoother connections, particularly in regions with limited or no mobile coverage.
The technology was initially introduced with the Mate 70 series, which featured an innovative multi-antenna design on the back of the device, supported by the Lingxi AI algorithm.
This combination improved connectivity in challenging environments, such as tunnels or high-speed trains.
Huawei’s integration of an even more powerful network into Lingxi for the Pura X brought forth the 5A Speed, indicating the use of the 5.5G network for its devices.
Additionally, 5A Speed supports Wi-Fi 7, significantly enhancing the Pura X’s network performance.
This improvement was expected to allow users to quickly download large files, stream movies, and enjoy smoother gaming experiences.
The Pura X also introduced several new features, including an AI-powered eye-tracking system that detects eye movement and automatically turns the pages on the foldable display.
With its innovative design and advanced capabilities, the Pura X was poised to make a significant impact on the smartphone market.
