The price of gold in Pakistan has reached the highest level in the country's history, with the rate increasing further on Saturday, reflecting global market trends.
In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola hiked by Rs400, settling at the highest ever Rs292,200, according to data shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs343, taking it to Rs250,514.

In the international market also, the price of gold saw a rise of $5 on Saturday, reaching $2,797 per ounce with an additional premium of $20.
The price of 24-karat silver in the local market, however, decreased by Rs30, reaching Rs3,270 per tola.
