Two bogies of the Karachi-Lahore-bound Pak Business Express derailed at Karachi Cantt Station on Saturday. The incident occurred while the train was being shifted to platform number seven.
According to a spokesperson for Pakistan Railways, fortunately, the derailment did not affect the main railway line, and no casualties or injuries were reported. Railway officials swiftly dispatched a rescue relief crane to the site to assist in clearing the derailed bogies and restoring the affected track.
"The derailment took place during the shifting process, and there was no impact on the main line," the railway spokesperson confirmed. "Our crew is actively working to restore the track, and operations are expected to return to normal shortly."

Despite the incident, the spokesperson assured that the Pak Business Express will depart from Karachi on its scheduled time.
Railway authorities have launched an inquiry to determine the cause of the derailment, while safety protocols are being reviewed to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Just a day ago, the Shalimar Express, traveling from Lahore to Karachi, met with an accident near Shahdara, causing three of its coaches to derail. Following the incident, train operations between Lahore and Faisalabad were suspended.
According to railway officials, no casualties or injuries were reported. The train was severely impacted when a 200-year-old wooden track broke, causing the train to tip over.
