Mild earthquake tremors were felt in Quetta and its surrounding areas on Monday, according to reports from the National Seismic Monitoring Center, Islamabad.
The earthquake, which registered a magnitude of 3.7 on the Richter scale, struck at a depth of 19 kilometres.
The epicentre of the quake was located 19 kilometres west of Quetta. While the tremor was relatively mild, it caused brief panic among residents, many of whom rushed out of their homes and workplaces as a precautionary measure.
No casualties or significant damage to property have been reported so far.
