Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said on Wednesday that one of the political parties had harmed the country from the abroad.
Speaking to media in Karachi, the minister took an indirect jibe at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), saying, “There is no country in the world that allows anybody to conduct any of the illegal activities.”
He said, “The political party has assigned its overseas workers to malign the institutions of the country.”
Iqbal stated, “The establishment, judiciary and parliament are on the same page. All of the institutions have learnt the message that with the lack of stability, the country is being harmed.”
Speaking about the ties with China, he said, “The work is underway with China on Phase IV of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).”
He mentioned the Middle Eastern countries, saying, “The Middle Eastern countries are seeking investment in line with the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).”
Iqbal took a swipe at PTI founder Imran Khan, claiming, “It will be after January 20, the PTI founder will himself say that the United States’ slavery is not acceptable.”
“We can proudly say that we are having the project of developing the country instead of sabotaging the country,” he said.
“The government has requested the heads of the banks to open the export development window,” Iqbal maintained.
