The Princess of Wales - Catherine Middleton - has announced unexpected plans for 2025, prioritising her recovery and family life after enduring a challenging year.
According to royal commentator Emily Nash, writing for Hello!, the future Queen consort will not immediately return to her usual royal schedule.
Instead, she is set to focus on her health and well-being following her battle with cancer, which concluded with chemotherapy treatment in September 2024.
Catherine resumed limited public engagements towards the end of 2024. However, Nash noted that there is "no sign" she will revert to her former busy schedule anytime soon.
The Princess has reportedly decided to concentrate on spending quality time with her children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—and to actively participate in their school lives.

"Kate has always emphasized the importance of family, and this decision reflects her commitment to both her role as a mother and her recovery," Nash said.
The revelation comes after what has been described as the most difficult phase of Catherine’s life. The Princess herself has spoken about the impact of her health challenges, highlighting the support of her family during this period.
While the news has saddened many of her supporters, royal experts believe the decision underscores Catherine’s pragmatic approach to balancing her personal responsibilities and public duties. "Her well-being is essential not only for herself but also for her future role in the monarchy," Nash added.
As the royal family adjusts to this temporary shift, it is anticipated that Catherine will concentrate her limited public engagements on causes she is passionate about, such as early childhood development and mental health awareness.
