Among the sorrowful events, the aviation industry experienced several major accidents, leaving a lasting impact, particularly on travel enthusiasts worldwide.
Japan - January 2nd, 2024
In a shocking incident at Tokyo's Haneda Airport, a local airline's aircraft collided with a small Coast Guard plane on the runway. The Airbus caught fire, but the 379 passengers were evacuated in time. Tragically, five of the six crew members aboard the smaller plane lost their lives.
Canada – January 23rd, 2024
A small aircraft of Northwestern Air crashed in a suburban area of Fort Smith, Canada. The plane, carrying international mining company workers, crashed, resulting in the deaths of six out of the seven passengers aboard.
Iran - May 19th, 2024
A helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi crashed in a mountainous area near the Azerbaijan border due to dense fog. The crash claimed the lives of Raisi, Iran's foreign minister, a provincial governor, and four others.
Singapore – May 21st, 2024
A Singapore Airlines Boeing flying from London encountered severe turbulence, injuring 30 passengers.
The plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Bangkok, Thailand. Sadly, one passenger passed away due to a heart attack.
Malawi – June 10th, 2024
In Malawi, an aircraft crashed with the country's Vice President Saulos Chilima on board. Among the nine fatalities were the former First Lady of Malawi, Patricia Shanil, and other passengers.
Nepal - July 24th, 2024
A 50-seat CRJ 200-passenger plane from Saurya Airlines crashed shortly after takeoff from Kathmandu, Nepal. Eighteen people perished in the crash, with the sole survivor being the pilot.
Brazil - August 9th, 2024
A Brazilian aircraft from the company ViaPass crashed in a coastal region near São Paulo, Brazil. Tragically, all 62 passengers on board were killed.

South Korea - December 29th, 2024
A Jaejo Airliner from South Korea, coming from Bangkok, Thailand, crashed during landing in the city of Muan. The devastating crash claimed the lives of 179 out of the 181 people on board.
