Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza paid an official visit to the State of Kuwait, where he held high-level meetings with key Kuwaiti officials.
During his visit, he called on HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince of Kuwait, HH Sheikh Fahed Yousef Al Sabah, the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Minister of Interior, as well as other senior figures including Lieutenant General (Staff) Engineer Hashim Al Rafee.
He also met Under Secretary of the Kuwait National Guard, Sheikh Abdullah Mishal Al Sabah, Under Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, and Major General Subah Jaber Alsabah, the Acting Chief of Staff of the Kuwait Armed Forces.
The discussions focused on bilateral issues and defence cooperation, with both parties reaffirming their shared commitments.
They emphasised the importance of strengthening defence and security ties, and explored new avenues for mutually beneficial collaboration in these areas.
During his visit, Gen Mirza also toured the Mubarak Al Abdullah Joint Command and Staff College, where he was briefed on the training activities being conducted at the academy.
Upon his arrival at the Kuwait Chief of Staff Headquarters, a smartly turned-out contingent presented a Guard of Honour to the CJCSC.
