Most districts of Balochistan remained under the grip of severe cold as temperatures dropped significantly, according to the Meteorological Department.
Quetta recorded a minimum temperature of minus 6 degrees Celsius, while Ziarat also reported minus 6 degrees, the department stated. Weather officials forecasted that cold and dry conditions would persist across the province during the next 24 hours.
Northern mountainous regions of Balochistan experienced cloudy weather, adding to the chilly conditions, officials added.

Earlier in the morning, Islamabad, Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas faced extremely cold and dry weather.
Dense fog and smog prevailed in central and southern Punjab, as well as upper Sindh. Meteorological reports predicted foggy conditions in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Leh recorded the lowest temperature in the country at minus 13 degrees Celsius. Skardu registered minus 11 degrees, while Gilgit reported minus 7 degrees. Quetta and Ziarat recorded minus 6 degrees, Islamabad and Peshawar saw 1 degree, Lahore recorded 6 degrees, and Karachi remained relatively mild at 12 degrees Celsius.
Officials indicated that Lahore, Faisalabad, and Sargodha, along with other cities in Punjab, would continue facing fog and smog.
Abbottabad, Mansehra, Swabi, Mardan, Peshawar, Nowshera, and Kohat were expected to experience misty conditions. Sukkur, Benazirabad, Shikarpur, Kashmore, and Khairpur in Sindh were also likely to remain covered under fog and smog.
