The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan's delegation has backed Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman over the Madrash Registration Bill.
According to details, the MQM-P held a meeting with Rehman to discuss concerns regarding the Madrasa Registration Bill.
During the meeting, Rehman said, “The president’s objection to the Madrasah Registration Act has complicated the matter.” He urged the government to accept the JUI-F’s stance to avoid any further conflict.
MQM-P convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui expressed agreement with Fazlur Rehman’s perspective. “What was decided under the 26th Amendment must be implemented,” Siddiqui said.
Siddiqui further said: "Rehman’s position carried weight and that his party would take the matter forward."
