The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that any announcement regarding the Champions Trophy will be made via a press release.
This follows recent claims by Indian media that the Champions Trophy would take place under a Fusion Formula, with Pakistan serving as the host. According to reports, the fusion formula would prevent Pakistan from travelling to India for the World Cup.
The Indian media further stated that the Fusion Formula was agreed upon in the presence of all board members, but the agreement was not documented in writing.
However, the ICC has now stated that discussions over the Champions Trophy and the fusion formula are still ongoing. The governing body clarified that no formal meeting has been called yet and that any official statement will be made through a press release.
