Earthquake tremors were felt in several cities across Punjab earlier today, including Lahore, Nankana Sahib, Kharian, Jhelum, and Sarai Alamgir on Thursday.
The earthquake, which struck just after noon, sent residents into a state of panic, but authorities have confirmed that there have been no reports of casualties or significant property damage.
The earthquake’s magnitude was recorded at 4.8, with a depth of 15 kilometers. The epicenter was located near Kharian, a city in the Gujrat district, which experienced some of the strongest tremors.
The quake was felt across a wide area, shaking buildings and causing brief power outages in Lahore and surrounding regions.
Despite the intensity of the earthquake, there have been no reports of casualties or damage to property from any part of the capital or its neighboring regions.
In the aftermath of the earthquake, people came out of their homes in panic and started reciting verses from the Holy Quran.
Meanwhile, no loss of life or property was reported from any part of the capital due to the earthquake.
