The World Blind Cricket Council has withdrawn the hosting of the Women’s Blind Cricket World Cup from India.
The cricket council held a meeting in Multan on Monday in which it was decided to withdraw the hosting of the Women’s Blind Cricket World Cup from India.
The Indian team had not participated in the Blind T20 Men’s World Cup played in Pakistan.
India was supposed to host the Women’s Blind World Cup next year, however, now the hosting has been withdrawn as India allegedly does not issue visas to the Pakistani team.
According to the decision taken by the council, India will not be allowed to host international blind cricket until political tensions subside. India had not issued visas to the Pakistani team in the 2022 Blind World Cup.
On the other hand, it was also decided to retain Pakistan’s Syed Sultan Shah as the chairman of the World Blind Cricket Council.
