Madhubala, the beloved elephant at Karachi Zoo, will be relocated to Safari Park tomorrow as part of a significant move overseen by Forepaaz and zoo authorities.
To ensure a safe transition, Madhubala will be sedated before being transported. Speaking at the zoo, SAMAA correspondent Khurshid Alam reported that all necessary arrangements for the move have been finalized.
The relocation marks the end of Madhubala’s time at Karachi Zoo, where she has been a central attraction. Officials have emphasized that the move is part of ongoing efforts to provide her with a more suitable habitat.
The public eagerly awaits her arrival at Safari Park, where better facilities and open spaces are expected to improve her living conditions.
Four Paws statement: Reunion will take place soon
After more than a year of preparation, Madhubala is ready to be relocated to a species-appropriate enclosure. At Karachi Safari Park, she will be able to enjoy mud baths, bathing in the large natural pool, and dusting herself in various types of soil.
After 15 years of separation from her sisters, Madhubala will finally be reunited with them. The three elephants will have all the time they need to bond once again in a safe environment, allowing them to thrive and flourish in their new home at Karachi Safari Park.
