A book launch ceremony for "Rangrez," the new collection of short stories by renowned writer, poet, and celebrated fiction author Sofia Bedar, was held at Alhamra Arts Center the Mall.
Prominent writers and literary figures attended the gathering including Chairman Alhamra Art Council Razi Ahmad who also congratulated Sofia Baidar on the release of her new work.
Storyteller Sofia Baidar thanked Chairman Razi Ahmad and Executive Director Sarah Rashid for their support.
Renowned poet Abbas Tabish fondly remembered Alhamra’s invaluable services. Dr. Tahira Iqbal presided over the event, while other speakers, including Dr. Waheed Rehman Khan, Salma Awan, Dr. Najeeb Jamal, Hamida Shaheen, Bilqis Riaz, Bushra Ijaz, Neelam Ahmed Bashir, Amir Faraz, Shehzad Nayar, and Amina Mufti, praised Sophia Bedar’s work and expressed their admiration by reading her stories.
Sofia remarked that the past is for writing, the future is for pondering, and the present is for living.
People attended the ceremony and praised the book author and Alhamra's effort s for promoting Art, Culture and Literature.
