Members of the Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) held a protest in Khardar to condemn the recent terrorist attack in Parachinar in which 42 people lost their lives when opponents opened indiscriminate firing at the convoy of over 100 vehicles en route from Peshawar-Parachinar-Peshawar.
The protestors expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives, including infants and women, in the attack.
MWM leaders announced three days of mourning in response to the incident and called it a national tragedy. The protestors demanded immediate action, urging the authorities to launch an operation throughout Kurram Agency and the entire province.
They also called for the arrest of the terrorists responsible for the attack and their facilitators. Leaders of MWM emphasized the need for stringent security measures on all routes leading to Parachinar to prevent further violence.
Protests across country
MWM held protests and rallies in various cities of the country including Karachi and Islamabad.
Leaders including central leader Allama Ahmed Iqbal, Allama Baqir Abbas, Allama Sadiq Jafri and others participated in the protests. Leaders express grief over the loss of precious lives due to terrorism in Parachinar firing on passenger buses.
Allama Ahmed Iqbal said terrorist attacks on passenger buses are a well-planned conspiracy.
