Former president Donald Trump issued a dire warning about the potential consequences of a Kamala Harris presidency, claiming that a second Great Depression could be imminent.
Speaking to a crowd of 20,000, Trump characterised current economic policies under President Biden as "reminiscent" of the Great Depression, equating Biden to Herbert Hoover.
“If Kamala wins, you are three days away from the start of a 1929-style economic depression,” Trump declared, asserting that his own victory would instead usher in unprecedented job growth and economic prosperity.
“If I win, you are three days away from the best jobs, the biggest paychecks, the brightest economic future that the world has ever seen,” he promised.
Trump did not hold back in his criticism of Harris and mocking her absence from Joe Rogan’s podcast.
He expressed concern over her ability to lead on the global stage, stating, “If Kamala can’t handle an interview with Joe Rogan, then she can’t handle the presidency.”
The rally, highlighted by Lee Greenwood’s “Proud to be an American,” also saw Trump make sweeping claims about the state of the Biden administration. He suggested that the current president was unfairly ousted from the race, likening it to a “coup.”
