Coke Studio’s fan-favourite song, ‘Piya Piya Calling’, has secured a nomination for Song of the Year at Norway’s prestigious P3 Gold Awards, marking a significant international recognition for Pakistani music.
The lively track, produced by Coke Studio’s Season 15 curator Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan (Xulfi), has captured global attention with its rich blend of cultures, infectious beats, and an unforgettable collaboration with Quick Style—a popular dance group formed by Norwegian-Pakistani twins and their Norwegian-Thai friend.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Xulfi expressed amazement at the song’s reach. "We didn’t know this timeline could exist in our lives," he wrote, highlighting that P3 is Norway’s leading radio station and thanking fans for embracing the song.
The track’s production brought together the Norwegian duo Karpe, singer Delara, and Pakistani artist Kaifi Khalil, blending languages, rhythms, and cross-cultural creativity that quickly made it a favourite in Pakistan and Norway alike, garnering over 14 million views on YouTube.
The song’s international impact continues, as ‘Piya Piya Calling’ is also among three Coke Studio tracks submitted for the Grammy Awards in the Best Global Music Performance category.
