In light of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) planned protest at D-Chowk in Islamabad, the All Pakistan Private Schools Association has announced that private schools in the capital will remain closed tomorrow (Friday).
The decision has been taken due to the potential disruption and road closures caused by the protest.
Waheed Khan, General Secretary of the Private Schools Association, issued a statement emphasizing the safety of students as their top priority. He mentioned that students faced significant challenges today due to container blockades around the city that made commuting difficult. As a precautionary measure, the association decided to close schools to avoid further inconvenience and ensure student safety.
In addition to private schools, Quaid-e-Azam University also announced a closure for tomorrow, issuing an official notification in response to the road blockages. Similarly, the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) has also declared a holiday for Friday, with notifications being issued by university administrations.
PTI has called for a major protest at D-Chowk, Islamabad, which has prompted the closure of several educational institutions to prevent any risk to students and staff in the wake of the expected disruptions.
