A youth convention was recently held in Wana, South Waziristan, drawing a large number of young participants to discuss their future prospects and regional development. Major General Mehr Omar Khan, Inspector General of Frontier Corps South, attended as the chief guest. In his address, he emphasized the crucial role of youth in national development and cautioned against the negative influences of social media propaganda.
Participants expressed strong support for the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps' efforts in maintaining regional peace and security. They also acknowledged the military's contributions to local education, healthcare, and other development projects in the area.
The convention highlighted ongoing skills development initiatives by the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps South, particularly focusing on empowering young women in South Waziristan. These programs have reportedly enabled numerous youth and women to complete courses and earn income through online platforms.
Attendees reaffirmed their commitment to stand alongside the Pakistan Army in its operations against extremist elements, recognizing the sacrifices made for regional stability.
