President Asif Ali Zardari conferred the Hilal-e-Imtiaz on Paris Olympics 2024 gold medalist Arshad Nadeem today (Thursday) in a special ceremony at the President’s House in Islamabad.

Arshad Nadeem, from Mian Channu village, made Pakistan proud by winning the gold medal in javelin throw with a record-breaking distance of 92.97 meters. The achievement surpassed 118 records in the history of the Paris Olympics.
Upon his return, Arshad Nadeem received a hero’s welcome at Allama Iqbal International Airport. A large crowd cheered and celebrated his victory at the international sports event.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the provincial governments of Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan announced price money for Arshad Nadeem. A few private companies also announced vehicles for the athletes.
The next Olympics will be held in Los Angeles in 2028. Until then, Arshad Nadeem’s gold medal will remain unmatched unless someone breaks his record or he successfully defends his title in the upcoming Games.
