The Kasur district administration declared a local holiday on August 31 - Saturday - for the Urs of revered Sufi poet and philosopher Hazrat Bulleh Shah.
This holiday will coincide with the celebration of the Urs, which will commence on August 30 and continue for three days.
The official notification issued by Deputy Commissioner Captain (r) Aurangzeb Haider Khan confirmed that the residents of Kasur district will have the day off on Saturday.
The Urs of Hazrat Bulleh Shah is a major event in the region, drawing devotees and admirers from across Pakistan.
The celebration is marked by various activities including poetry recitations, musical performances, and spiritual gatherings, all dedicated to honoring the life and teachings of the saint.
