Two children have been killed ad several others injured, including police personnel, in an explosion near the Police Lines in Pishin city of Balochistan.
According to local authorities, the blast occurred on Saturday evening, severely damaging a car and a motorcycle in the vicinity. A total of 12 people were injured in the explosion, with five of them being police officers. The injured and the bodies of the two children were rushed to a nearby hospital.
The exact nature and cause of the explosion are currently under investigation, and security forces have cordoned off the area to gather evidence and prevent further incidents.
This tragic event comes just a month after a similar attack targeted a vehicle belonging to the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Khushdil Khan Road in Pishin district. In that incident, a bomb blast injured a security guard, while the station house officer (SHO) of the CTD escaped unscathed.
The recent explosion has raised concerns about the ongoing security challenges in the region. Local authorities have increased vigilance and security measures in response to the latest incident, and an investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators.
