Indus Motor Company (IMC) recently held a significant ceremony at its manufacturing facility in Port Qasim, Karachi, where the company unveiled its ambitious plans to export vehicles produced in Pakistan to international markets.
This marks a major step forward for the country's automotive industry.
The event was attended by Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Chief Executive of the Engineering Development Board (EDB), Engineer Khuda Bakhsh, representatives from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), and key figures from Toyota's leadership, including Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Asia, Kazunari Aguchi.
During the ceremony, IMC announced its intention to begin exporting parts of its renowned vehicles such as the Toyota Fortuner, Hilux, and Corolla Cross to countries including Australia, Indonesia, and New Zealand. This move is expected to not only boost Pakistan's economy by generating export revenue but also enhance the country's presence in the global automotive market.
IMC's decision to expand its export operations is seen as a positive development for Pakistan's industrial sector, reflecting the company's commitment to quality manufacturing and global competitiveness.
