Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Wednesday a 10-day extension for the payment of electricity bills, offering relief to consumers amid mounting economic challenges.
The Power Division issued a notification today, mandating all electricity distribution companies to implement the extension.
This decision comes in response to the difficulties faced by electricity consumers, especially given the rising costs and economic pressures of recent months. The extension will apply to the due dates of electricity bills for July and August 2024, providing additional time for consumers to manage their payments.
